Church Leadership


		Dr. Larry Martin was born in Lyon County, Kentucky. He was saved by God's grace at 10 years of age and called to preach God's Word in his Twenties. Dr. Martin begin his Christian Education at Fruitland Bible College. he received his doctorate from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, Georgia. Kathy Martin is a registered nurse at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and she is a gifted gospel pianist.

	Charles Lee Edwards	Church music should be uplifting and enjoyable and it should point to Christ. It should enhance the worship service and make it more meaningful. At Shady Grove, we enjoy traditional church music, Southern Gospel, Bill Gaither style, with a minor blend of contemporary church music . We highlight the seasons with special music presentations, usually in the form of a cantata. We have a 21 member adult choir ranging in age from 15 to senior adult. We also are fortunate to have singers of all ages in various group sizes. Our Musicians include Mae York, Kathy Martin, and myself. I have been blessed to be able to work with church music for 50 years with the last 35 as music director. Shady Grove is a special place with special people who love music and good fellowship.
